ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Jackson

WHO I AM
I grew up on my family's farm in rural Arkansas. I'm a father of two great boys and married for seven years. I've served for 14 years in U.S. Army and deployed to the Middle East in 2015. I'm a graduate of The Citadel and Louisiana State University. I have lived in New Orleans since 2012 and love my home and neighborhood of Algiers Point.
MY CAREER
Despite receiving two liberal arts degrees, I've worked over a decade in the construction industry. I work as a project manager for a commercial construction firm here in New Orleans. I enjoy working on projects that grow and revitalize the region. I've met some of the smartest people that don't have a college degree. Their dedication to getting a project done motivates me to continue in the industry.
I'm honored to have served 14 years in the Louisiana National Guard and Army Reserves. In my military career, I have served on overseas deployments and responded to several natural disasters, including the Covid-19 Pandemic, Hurricane Laura, and Hurricane Ida. As an officer, I've had the honor of working with dedicated, diverse, and resourceful people across the state. One of the most rewarding aspects has been leading young people who want to serve their country and get a good start in their adult life. National service gave them the tools to thrive with programs like the GI Bill, affordable healthcare, and specialties that translate into the civilian world.
